The Maxwell Company was founded in 1959 representing manufacturers in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Our founder, Mr. Maxwell (Max) had in his mind a few very simple premises--service your customer to the best of your ability; provide the very best customer service; and by maintaining a warehouse in Dallas provide the quickest turn-around time in the industry. Today, some 40+ years later, those principals still define the reason we go to work every day. The customer is truly number one.
The company changed hands several times until it was bought in 1989by its current owners the Dykes family. Having many years experience in sales the company began recovering from the economic turmoil of the middle and late 1980's.
In 1991 the Maxwell Company decided to branch out and began importing bath accessories and cabinet hardware. Named after the wives of the three original partners--Judy, Virginia, and Jackie--JVJ Hardware was born. Through hard work and dedication the company has grown into a multi-million dollar corporation that has been able to maintain a personal touch with its customer base.
What first began as a lower end line has evolved into a broad representation of products from solid brass cabinet hardware and bath accessories in the latest finishes to door hardware and specialty items. Our newest venture will combine all of what we have learned that has allowed us to get to this point-- service is our most important asset.
